Andrew Boulton

Andrew Boulton

Andrew Boulton has worked on the ecology of macroinvertebrates in intermittent streams in Australia, especially on changes in community composition during drying and how this might influence rates of leaf litter breakdown. He is especially interested in groundwater-surface water interactions, and studied the responses of hyporheic invertebrates to surface drying in streams in Arizona and Australia. He is currently revising the second edition of the textbook — Australian Freshwater Ecology – due for release early in 2014.
